This beautiful fine art painting by Gordon Pembridge tells a story of five lucky rhino calves rescued from desperate beginnings due to poaching. They are now released back into the wild after some very dedicated people worked tirelessly to raise them all from a very dependent age.
Here in the painting ‘The Lucky 5’ are depicted in golden evening light as if standing in a defiant, defensive posture, some being courageous and some being unsure; referencing the ever present pressures of rhino in the wild.
The limited edition prints of this painting are going to help with the ongoing care of the five rhino in this painting, along with new orphaned rhino calves currently at the facility.
